Chris grew up in Orlando, Florida and attended the International Baccalaureate program (a rigorously academic program) at Winter Park High School. He obtained a bachelor’s degree majoring in both Physics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and went on to earn a master’s degree in Management from the University of Florida. He has peer tutored privately since high school, spent time working as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center, and founded his company The Ivy Tutors in 2005. While living in Orlando and running The Ivy Tutors, Chris was President of the Penn Alumni Club of Central Florida and interviewed potential Penn applicants. In the summer of 2007 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue some other startup ventures, but still greatly enjoys tutoring, which he still does privately. On his free time, he watches and plays a lot of basketball and football and is a bit of an accomplished home-brewer.
